Looking for some décor for your desert table or wedding? Here’s an idea. This elegant DIY 3-tier cupcake stand comes out to be very sturdy and stylish, which is amazing for the price. I made these for my wedding and they ended up being used for baby showers, anniversary dinners, and parties. I had about 20 of them stored up in boxes for about a year, and so I ended up trying to sell them on OfferUp and they were a big hit. When the buyers would ask me where I got them, I would say I made them. They couldn’t believe me, so that is why I decided to share them with you!
- 3 plates; 2 big plates and small plate (Dollar store)
- 2 candle holders (Dollar store)
- E6000 Glue
- Q- tips
- Marker (washable)
- Tape measure/ ruler
No 2. Start with washing the plates and candles and removing all stickers and adhesives. (Note: blowing the sticker with a blow dryer will help it all peel off in one piece and leave none of the sticky residues)
No 3. The hardest part of this project is gluing the candle holders right in the middle of the plate. But here are some tips before beginning;
- Glue the candle holder to the bottom of the plate first
- Measure the plate divide and divide in half
- Let the glue dry completely before moving onto your next layer, this prevents any shifting
- Work on a hard and flat surface
- If you would like to paint, do it before gluing
No 4. Using E6000 Glue, measure and attached the candle holders to the plates (be generous with the glue).
Begin measuring the top and bottom of the plate, locate the middle and place the candle holder.
Glue the bottom two plates together.
Attach the last candle holder to the bottom of the small top plate.
Lastly; attach the top plate and bottom plates together.
No 5. Now let the glue completely dry before moving or shifting. Once that is complete; you many now enjoy your 3- tier cupcake stand!
